James started racing 250s at 17 and didn’t expect to finish 3rd in his debut race and with regular top 5 positions it was a great start to his career. He then moved into racing 600s, again with good results, constantly finishing in the top 5 and with a handful of wins.
The 2003 season saw James enter the Yamaha R6 Cup Championship which was a very intense year with many new tracks to learn and riding almost standard bikes.
For the last two year James has raced in the KTM series and in 2009 with regular podiums, a fastest lap and win finished fifth overall.
